The Siesta Key Campus was bursting with creativity as our annual Festival of the Arts showcased talented visual and performing student artists across all grades. The morning began with an awe-inspiring concert featuring pre-K, kindergarten, first, second, and third grade students, which was then followed by a showcase of our fourth and fifth grade orchestra, band, and chorus students. During this time, our broadcast students presented a special 'LIVE' edition of WODA to family members and friends in the Glendy Huene Library/Media Center. This also included a hands-on showcase of the programs and products used by broadcast students. Following the performances, students rotated through a variety of stations hosted by guest artists from the Van Wezel, Asolo Theater, Sarasota Opera, and EnsembleNEWSRQ, as well as parent volunteers and educators.
Throughout the day, students and families were encouraged to visit the art gallery in the Dining Hall to view the beautiful student artwork. Guests were inspired by the creativity of the ceramics, drawings, paintings, paper masks, tin etchings, and more.
