Journey to Becoming a Marine Biologist - Rising Grades 1-5

Ocean Explorers: Journey to Becoming a Marine Biologist is a 15-hour course designed to expose students ages 5-12 to the profession of marine biology. Students will complete experiments and projects to gain an understanding of the ocean and its many inhabitants. Students will conduct an in-depth analysis of a sea
turtle, learning details about different types of sea turtles and will even adopt their very own plush sea turtle. As a class, students will work together to rescue, rehabilitate and release a Leatherback sea turtle. The class culminates with the sea turtle release as the students graduates from Little Medical School as Little Marine Biologists.
