Volunteer Groups & Opportunities

Family participation in a student's educational process is essential. The Out-of-Door Academy believes that an inclusive, collaborative environment encompassing parents, faculty, alumni, and family members of our students yields many benefits for those involved.

  • Parent Association (PA)

    The Out-of-Door Academy Parent Association’s mission is to support, promote, and strengthen our school community across both campuses and all grade levels. The Parent Association (PA) works to achieve this mission by working alongside faculty and staff, homeroom parents, and the ODA community.

  • Thunder Athletic Club (TAC)

    The Thunder Athletic Club (TAC) exists to encourage athletic excellence, promote awareness for athletic programs, enhance community relations, and to fund facilities and equipment that enhance the athletic experience at ODA from grades 6-12. The TAC works collaboratively with the ODA Athletic Department to help support our middle school, junior varsity, and varsity teams.

  • Arts Alliance

    The Arts Alliance exists to advocate for arts programming at both the Siesta Key and Uihlein Campuses by funding special arts events and projects that enhance student learning. In the past, parents and guardians have volunteered and provided their expertise with productions and visual art shows, further connecting with our students within ODA’s arts community.
