Announcing the 2024-2025 Emmons Scholar

The Emmons family and The Out-of-Door Academy are proud to announce Maayan Tedeschi as the fourteenth recipient of the prestigious Taylor Emmons Scholarship. A remarkable young man, Maayan, along with his family, relocated to the United States in 2021. Maayan arrived in the U.S. speaking no English, but after two years immersed in the life and culture of an American student, he quickly became proficient. His dedication and academic prowess earned him the Principal’s Award at his school. 

Maayan embodies Out-of-Door’s RISER values of respect, integrity, service, excellence and responsibility.  Both the Emmons family and the Out-of-Door community eagerly anticipate Maayan's future accomplishments in the Upper School. With his exemplary character and determination, he will undoubtedly serve as a proud ambassador for Taylor Emmons’ legacy.
