At ODA, we consider Service a particularly important core value, and support the involvement of our students and educators in a wide variety of programs and efforts throughout our community.
Each year, the Lower School shows its dedication to preserving the beauty of our local environment by participating in an Earth Day beach clean-up at Siesta Beach. Despite regular beach grooming, food wrappers, plastic, paper, cardboard, bottles, and cans litter the beach area. Students and educators in PK through fifth grade work collaboratively in teams, diligently gathering refuse left behind by visitors.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all—students, educators, and parent volunteers—who participated in this important annual service initiative, and by doing so, benefited our entire community in the process.
