This course delves deeply into the literature of Latin America and Spain, covering a broad spectrum of literary forms including novels, plays, essays, and poetry. Its objective is to sharpen students' analytical abilities, expand their vocabulary, and enrich their understanding of different cultures. The syllabus features works from renowned authors such as Emilia Pardo Bazán, Horacio Quiroga, Gabriel García Márquez, and Alfonsina Storni. Students will explore universal literary themes, make comparative analyses, and connect these themes to both historical and modern cultural contexts. Beyond literary study, the course also aims to enhance students' Spanish language skills in both oral and written forms. It encourages them to express themselves effectively and appropriately on a variety of familiar topics and to comprehend and interpret detailed information through listening and reading. Registration must be done online.
